The existing residence from 1919 had been neglected and modified over the years, and needs full renovation. The project saves a lot of the framing but replaces fixtures and finishes, reconfigures the interior, replaces the foundation, and finishes the lower level to create a 3,200 SF, four bedroom home. The new roof will be exposed heavy timber trusses throughout the main level, giving the spaces a mountain retreat feeling, half pressed into the steep sloping site, and half perched high on the hill.
